What a spot this is for outdoors folks. Get your heart pumping on the wonderful whitewater of Sacandaga River; lovely scenery and splendid skiing is what you get at Hickory Ski Center. If you like swamps, you're in luck, Evans Pond is right close by, and the Oregon Trail offers hiking at its best. Ireland Vly sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily September,       that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is February. Black Creek flows through this area, and you can stay the night at Mc Conchie Heritage Acres Camp Grounds. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Broadalbin Hotel is a glorious choice; an afternoon playing golf at Galway Golf Course is always a diversion. During the summertime highs here at Ireland Vly get into the 80's, and the night is slightly chillier of course,                  commonly in the 50's. During the wintertime highs are frequently in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Ireland Vly temperatures fall to the 0's. You can run the rapids of East Stony Creek near Ireland Vly, and dry warm beds await you at Four Seasons Motel. This lake is so wonderful. This is a great area for folks who like lakes. Cooks Reservoir is a lake close at hand.
