Hunter Lake is a wet spot that gets much rain; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. There are other sites here than Hunter Lake, for example Birch Ridge Pond, and Hunter Lake is splendid enough to       spend more than a day at, Camp Chipinaw Camp Chipinaw is a splendid local campground. The warmest time of the year at Hunter Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's with night lows in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and night lows at Hunter Lake during the winter generally plunge into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Delaware River offers some great whitewater, and Hunter Lake is right                  by the Steam Mill Trail. Birch Ridge Brook is one of the streams close by that might be worth visiting; pleasant skiing awaits you at Holiday Mountain. If you need a place to stay Villa Roma Resort Lodges is a glorious choice, and Island Glen Country Club is a golf course close by. So much cool stuff to do at Hunter Lake, so little time. Days Inn Liberty is a great place to get some rest. There's so much to do here at Hunter Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Woodstock On The Lake Campgrounds is a glorious site for that.
