If you like lakes and you're in this part of New York you can check out Howlands Lake. If you came to camp Soundview Sports is a great spot to do that; Glenarbor Golf Club is a tremendous golf course nearby. For the duration of the long summer days at Howlands Lake temperatures are typically in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's while the cold winter nights at Howlands Lake are in the 10's.

All the water falling down from the sky makes Howlands
Lake a wet spot; May is the month that gets the most rain, and January is when it's the driest. Just can't get enough of Howlands Lake. A wonderful lake like Tercia Pond near Howlands Lake is a tremendous location to take a look at;
you'll meet a lot of folks from Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown here. Take a side visit to Shallow Brook; what would winter be without some skiing at Thunder Ridge.
