Skiing at Jiminy Peak is one of those things you just have to do; Bonesteel Pond is a perfect lake nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Really good skiing awaits you at Willard Mountain, and dry warm beds await you at Hilton Garden Inn Troy. And if that's not sufficient, there's a heap more to do in the vicinity of Hosford       Pond. Camping at Broken Wheel Campground is always a magnificent experience, and the Williams Trail is a perfect hiking trail nearby. For the period of the warm days of summer highs here at Hosford Pond get into the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's with temperatures at Hosford Pond dipping down into the 10's through winter nights.
