Highs through the winter are mostly in the 20's while Horseshoe Pond nighttime low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 0's. This lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack Mountains. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. A lake close by is Massawepie Lake, and Horseshoe Pond is not the only       location nearby, Boottree Pond is a nearby lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Raquette River offers some good whitewater, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Sixmile Creek Trail. Horseshoe Pond gets a typical amount of precipitation; most of the rain falls all through August; February on the other hand is the driest. During your journey to Horseshoe Pond you'll meet some people from Malone for sure; Horseshoe Pond is                  right by the Big Deer Pond Trail. So many cool things to do in the Adirondack Mountains, not sufficient time. If you came for an overnight stay Robinson's Iga is a brilliant site to camp, and the Ash Pond Trail offers hiking at its best. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Adirondack Mountains.
