If you are traveling by, why not stop by Horseshoe Pond. Don't leave Horseshoe Pond without first going for a hike along the Twin Lakes Trail; if you're here, you could stop by Limekiln Creek. Summertime highs at Horseshoe Pond generally tend to be in the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. in the wonderful Adirondack Mountains. You could also pop by Fox Pond since you're here at Horseshoe Pond; it's nearby. There's so much to do here at Horseshoe Pond that you need to camp here for a while, OLD Forge Camping Resort
is a brilliant place for that. Horseshoe Pond usually gets a large amount of rainfall; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Moose River -
