     If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Adirondack Mountains. Don't leave Horseshoe Pond without first going for a hike along the Twin Lakes Trail, and in case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Moose River - South Branch. Limekiln Creek flows through this area, and if you came to camp OLD Forge Camping Resort is a great spot to do that. A delightful lake like Pico Lake near Horseshoe Pond is a nice  
   location to visit; hiking is a popular thing to do around Horseshoe Pond; Salmon Lake Trail is a great local trail.
All the water falling down from the sky makes Horseshoe Pond a wet place; the wettest month of the year is regularly August, that's the one that rains the most while February is generally the driest month. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Horseshoe Pond. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful.

               the Adirondack Mountains, has so much outdoors fun stuff. Limekiln Falls is always fun to check out; for you golfers we recommend nearby Thendara Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is perfect on Black River - South Branch; close by Deadmans Gulch is a pleasant site to go. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Knights Inn Little Falls is a wonderful choice, and one of the major traits of the surroundings of Horseshoe Pond is Burnt Mountain.
You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things at Horseshoe Pond. There's great hiking along the Norridge Trail, and hey, Gotta ski right? McCauley Mountain is a great place to do that. Lakes are such serene places, why not pop by Fox Pond in close proximity to Horseshoe Pond; Horseshoe Pond is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Nicks Lake Campgrounds is a splendid local campground. The warmest time of the year at Horseshoe Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's while overnight lows are generally in the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's; after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Horseshoe Pond sink into the 0's.
