Get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Putnam Creek, and camping is available at Echo Lake Southwoods. Antwine Hill is clearly visible from Horseshoe Pond, and Ticonderoga - Super 8 Motel is a wonderful spot to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Pharoah Mountain Trail is always a great adventure, and a beautiful lake like Burge Pond is a splendid       site to go to. Horseshoe Pond is located in the Adirondack Mountains. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Why not camp at Medcalf Acres Campsite while you're here at Horseshoe Pond; there are fine locations to explore along the Treadway Mountain Trail. The warmest time of the year at Horseshoe Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's with                  winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Horseshoe Pond. Man, is there a heap of cool things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Schroon River, and do go to Crab Pond, it's a charming lake. So much fun stuff to do here in the Adirondack Mountains, too fine to be true. After a long day outdoors Best Western Ticonderoga Inn & Suites is a brilliant location to spend a night or two, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Short Swing Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Don't forget to take a brilliant little spree to Pyramid Brook, and swamps don’t sound that brilliant but Glidden Marsh in the neighborhood of Horseshoe Pond is relatively brilliant.
