This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Batavia, and there are some delightful whitewater spots on Oatka Creek. From a precipitation point of view Horseshoe Lake is a rather common site; the wettest month of the year is mostly August, that's the one that rains the most; February is the month with the least moisture. Horseshoe Lake is a splendid spot to visit for more than one day,       LEI-TI Campground is a splendid spot to camp nearby, and Woodchuck Hole is a glorious location to check out. The vista of Temperance Hill from Horseshoe Lake is striking, and a charming lake like Chapin Pond is a tremendous place to explore. A round of golf at nearby Batavia Country Club is a glorious way to kill some time; you'll stumble on a pretty lake called Godfrey Pond. During the summer months here at Horseshoe Lake, high temperatures mostly reach                  the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Horseshoe Lake. And if that's not enough, there's lots more to do near Horseshoe Lake. There's whitewater on Oak Orchard Creek for all you adrenaline rush seekers; Comfort Inn Batavia is a good site to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful.
