There's so much to do here at Honk Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Sunshine Acres Camp & Conferen is a great place for that. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun things close to Honk Lake. If you're popping by Honk Lake from Kingston, you won't be the only one, and do take a look at Lyon Lake, it's a pretty lake. This lake is so wonderful. Some of the water nearby       flows, like Beer Kill, and golf can be played at Shawangunk Country Club. Get your heart pumping on the nice whitewater of Rondout Creek, and Cape Pond is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. During the summer, highs commonly are in the 70's at Honk Lake while overnight lows are typically in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Honk Lake. Hiking along the Comfort Trail is perfect fun; a wonderful                  spot for whitewater paddling is Vernooy Kill River. This lake is so wonderful. The Vernooy Falls Trail offers hiking at its best, and after a long day outdoors Nevele Grande Resort is a perfect site to spend a night or two. If you came to camp Indian Lake Camp is a brilliant site to do that, and Honk Lake is right by the Kanape Jeep Trail.
