Honk Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Sunshine Acres Camp & Conferen is a great local campground, and do have a look at Beer Kill since you're here at Honk Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Nevele Grande Resort is a fine location to get some rest; the Vernooy Falls Trail is a delightful hiking trail close by. Camping at Indian Lake Camp is always a great experience, and an afternoon playing golf       at Shawangunk Country Club is always a diversion. Soar down the rapids of Rondout Creek in a kayak; people from Kingston love to come here. This place is so good, just check out all the fun things to do in close proximity to Honk Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Lexington at Hudson Valley Resort, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Vernooy Kill River. High temperatures at Honk Lake throughout the summertime are in the 70's. All through the moonlight hours                  it's usually in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Honk Lake are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Honk Lake is a wet place that gets lots of rainfall; May is when you get the most rain here, and February is when it's the driest.
