A visit to Holmes Lake is always a good idea. Pine Lake Campground and RV Park is a brilliant campground here; there are other spots here than Holmes Lake, for example Fisher Vly Lake. A great deal of rain falls at Holmes Lake; the month with most of the rain is November while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. And if that's not enough there's a heap more fun stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Vrooman's

The summit of Hogback can be seen from Holmes Lake; an afternoon playing golf at Nick Stoner Municipal Golf Course is always a delight. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Sacandaga River - West Branch is so much fun; there are plenty of people from Gloversville here at Holmes Lake. Just can't get enough of the Adirondack Mountains. Holmes Lake is located in the Adirondack Mountains. So much entertaining stuff to do at Holmes Lake, so little time. Stay the night at Royal Mountain Campsites; if you need a spot to stay Pinnacle Restaurant
& Motel is a perfect choice. During the summertime, highs regularly are in the 80's at Holmes Lake. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Holmes Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights.
