Do stop by Holleys Pond while you're in this part of New York. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Wurtsboro - Days Inn; Mountain Creek has fine slopes and a friendly staff. A lot of rainfall falls at Holleys Pond; the month with most of the rain is May; the driest month is February.
This is no site for people who don’t like to have a good time. Camping is available at Oakland Valley Campgrounds, and don't leave Holleys Pond without first

| | going for a hike along the Peenpack Trail. After a long day outdoors The Lodge at Rock Hill is a fine site to spend a night or two, and swamps like Ash Swamp are fun to pop by. All through the months of summer, highs regularly are in the 70's at Holleys Pond. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Holleys Pond are in the 10's.

Cabin Trail; if you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Neversink River. Why not camp at American Family Campground if you're here at Holleys Pond, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Holiday Mountain.
