If you are in this part of New York make sure to pay a visit to Hodge Pond. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Hodge Pond has to offer, you can camp at Covered Bridge Campsite; dry warm beds await you at Beaverkill Valley Inn. Bruce Country Inn is a good choice. This lake is located in the wonderful Catskill Mountains.
That right there is heaps already, but it keeps on going; Hodge Pond has it all. Sucker Brook is a beautiful stream that is worth checking
out, and the skiing at Belleayre is tremendous. You could also have a look at Frick Pond if you're here at Hodge Pond; it's close by, and if you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Mill Brook.
If you want a great time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Catskill Mountains. There's so much to do here at Hodge Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Hunter Lake Campgrounds is a wonderful site for that, and a day on the slopes of Holiday Mountain is just what you need.
