Why not camp at Nicks Lake Campgrounds if you're here at Hitchock Pond, and hey, Gotta ski right? McCauley Mountain is a good site to do that. Hitchock Pond is located in the Adirondack Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. What would winter be without some skiing at Snow Ridge; whitewater paddling is wonderful on Beaver River. Get covered with water paddling       on Moose River - Middle Branch, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit close by Grass Pond. This lake is so wonderful. A nice place to camp here at Hitchock Pond is Singing waters Campground, and if the weather is magnificent, you can go for a hike along the Salmon Lake Trail. Having a great time in the Adirondack Mountains is painless. Lakes are glorious; Hitchcock Pond is a lake that's right next door to Hitchock Pond; there                  is a delightful hiking trail nearby called the Stone Dam Trail. Summertime at Hitchock Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's while Hitchock Pond overnight low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 0's. Be careful coming to Hitchock Pond, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Don't forget to take a great little tour to Cherry Creek; the Norridge Trail is a great hiking trail nearby.
