Through the wintertime the highs are generally in the 20's; overnight lows all through the winter for Hitchcock Pond tend to be in the 0's. If you like skiing, you're in luck; McCauley Mountain is in the neighborhood of Hitchcock Pond, and Hitchcock Pond is a splendid location to visit for more than one day, Nicks Lake Campgrounds is a splendid       location to camp nearby. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. And that's not all you can do here in the Adirondack Mountains. There's whitewater on Moose River - Middle Branch for all you adrenaline junkies, and you can go for a hike on the Norridge Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Hitchcock Pond is a quite wet place mostly with a large amount of rain; through August this area sees the most rain; the driest month of the year is February.                  This place is excellent, just look at all the amusing stuff to do close to Hitchcock Pond. There are some good whitewater spots on Beaver River, and the skiing at Snow Ridge is great. This lake is so wonderful. Singing waters Campground is a great campground nearby, and do check out Cherry Creek since you're here at Hitchcock Pond. Hitchcock Pond is not the only site close by, Grass Pond is a close by lake, and going for a hike on the Salmon Lake Trail is always a good adventure. So many entertaining things in the Adirondack Mountains, just striking.
