If you are in Herkimer county it's always a good idea to stop by Hinckley Reservoir. Gotta ski! Woods Valley is a fine spot to do that, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Utica is a tremendous place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Elm Flats is a gorgeous place any time of year, and since you're here, you could also stop at beautiful Thomas Pond. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Forty Mountain Trail, and Newport Golf Club

| | Of is a great golf course close by. Hinckley Reservoir is right by the Stone Dam Trail, and in case you don’t mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Little Black Creek. Any time is a wonderful time at Hinckley Reservoir if you fancy the outdoors. Camping is available at Trail's End Campground; if you need a location to stay Red Roof Inn Utica is a pleasant choice. you can stop at while you're here, and Herkimer Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could go to. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Party Trail is perfect fun; whitewater paddling is great on Black River. There's just
no way anyone can get bored here at Hinckley Reservoir. Hinckley Reservoir is a rather wet place usually with lots of precipitation; of all the months in a year September is the one with the most rain; the driest month of the year
is February. At Hinckley Reservoir through the long summer days highs are in the 70's with night lows in the 50's. All through the winter highs are generally in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Hinckley Reservoir are in
the 0's. Why not camp at Trails End while you're here at Hinckley Reservoir, and Hinckley Reservoir is a place with many visitors from Utica-Rome.
