Hinchings Pond is a lake worth visiting. Hinchings Pond is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Moose River Camp Grounds is a wonderful local campground, and a pleasant site for whitewater paddling is Independence River. The slopes of Woods Valley are so inviting noone can resist, and since you're here you can play some golf at Brantingham Golf Club.
