This lake is so wonderful. Do have a look at Crystal Lake near Hills Pond, it's a stunning lake. Best Western Ticonderoga Inn & Suites is a great location to get some rest, and you can run the rapids of Mettawee River. Throughout the warmest time of the year, highs mostly are in the 80's at Hills Pond while night lows are commonly in the       50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows all through the winter for Hills Pond tend to be in the 0's. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Hills Pond has to offer, you can camp at Camp Catherine Capers, and if you're here, you could also take a look at scenic Melvin Pond. There is a glorious hiking trail right next door to Hills Pond called the Bomoseen Hiking Loop, and if you're a golfer then a brilliant nearby                  course is Lake St Catherine Country Club. This lake is so wonderful. There are brilliant spots to look at along the Half Moon Pond Trail, and people from Rutland love to come here. And that's not all you can do here at Hills Pond. From Hills Pond you get a glorious vista of Morris Hill; Poultney River is a good whitewater spot nearby.
