Man, is there plenty of       exciting stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. In the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Boquet River - North Branch. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Highlands Forge Lake has to offer, you can camp at Ausable River Campsite. Highlands Forge Lake is a beautiful lake in the Adirondack Mountains. There's so much to do here at Highlands Forge Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Holiday                  Travel Park is a great site for that, and whitewater paddling is good on Boquet River. This lake is so wonderful. The top of Lynch Mountain is easily seen from Highlands Forge Lake; Port Kent Golf Course is a tremendous golf course close by. So much entertaining stuff to do here in the Adirondack Mountains, too wonderful to be true. For the period of the long summer days at Highlands Forge Lake temperatures are generally in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. For the period of the wintertime highs are typically in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Highlands Forge Lake temperatures plunge to the 0's.
