This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Schiff Trail, and perfect hiking is available along the Lost Cabin Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Delaware National Scenic River is a nice national park, and there's whitewater on Mongaup River for all you adrenaline junkies. A brilliant spot to camp here at Highland Lake is Kittatinny Campgrounds; get       your heart beating on the glorious whitewater of Delaware River. Hit the slopes at Tanglwood in the vicinity; you'll find a lovely lake called Lake DeVenoge. So many exciting things next to Highland Lake, completely inspiring. Holiday Mountain has magnificent slopes and a friendly staff; a magnificent nearby hotel is RPAMI - Red Carpet Inn Milford. An average amount of rainfall falls at Highland Lake; the month with most of the rain is May while February                  is the month with the least amount of precipitation. For the period of the summer months at Highland Lake highs are generally in the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Highland Lake sink into the 10's.
