This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. Summertime highs at High Pond typically tend to be in the 70's while overnight lows are usually in the 50's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows through the winter for High Pond tend to be in the 0's. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at High Pond. Near High Pond you find the Sixmile Creek Trail which is a nice       hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Robinson's Iga, and do take a look at Ash Pond, it's a wonderful lake. High Pond is a quite wet place regularly with a large amount of precipitation; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while February is regularly the driest month. The Big Deer Pond Trail is a splendid hiking trail in the vicinity of High Pond; in case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater                  paddling on Oswegatchie River - East Branch. Why not camp at Cape Woods Campground while you're here at High Pond, and the panorama of Tomar Mountain is beautiful. So much entertaining stuff in the Adirondack Mountains, just striking.
