A delightful place to camp here at High Lake is Yogi's Deer Run Campground, and after a long day outdoors Cortland Days Inn is a fine place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Head up to Greek Peak and strap some skis to your feet, and High Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Country Hills is a great local campground. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. From       a precipitation point of view High Lake is a quite common location; June is the wettest month with most rain; February is when it's the driest. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to High Lake. For the period of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are mostly in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to High Lake. Labrador Mountain is a very popular ski area around here, and in the vicinity                  of High Lake you find a golf course called Maple Hill Golf Club.
