Go to Hicks Pond if you want to go to a nice lake. All through the warm months at Hicks Pond highs are generally in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Hicks Pond. Cranberry Vly Creek. There's so much to do here at Hicks Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Alps Family Campground is a fine location for that; if you come at the right time of year, Poesten Kill River offers some brilliant
whitewater.
This lake is so wonderful. A nice site in the neighborhood of Hicks Pond is The Notch, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Brickhouse Mountain Trail. A golf course close to Hicks Pond is Burden Lake Country
Club, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Jiminy Peak is reasonably near.
