Stay the night at Woodstock Lake Assn-office; not far from Hicks Pond you'll hit upon Myosotis Lake which is a stunning lake. This lake is so wonderful. There are other places here than Hicks Pond, for example Fawn Lake, and Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Schoharie, Ny is a perfect place to get some rest. Throughout the       days of summer at Hicks Pond highs are mostly in the 70's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are frequently in the 20's with temperatures at Hicks Pond dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights. Yep, outdoors enjoyable things truly is bountiful here in the Catskill Mountains. You can run the rapids of Ten Mile Creek near Hicks Pond, and Rensselaerville Falls is always fun to check out.
