    What a nice lake Hicks Pond is. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Kilcar is a good site to get some rest. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Hicks Pond has to offer, you can camp at Thompson's Lake State Park. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Catskill Mountains. Hicks Pond is a delightful location to camp, Waterfalls Campsite is a delightful location; paddling on Ten Mile Creek is so much fun.
Hicks Pond gets
 
   a common amount of yearly rainfall; the month with most of the rain is June; February is the month with the least moisture. Don't leave Hicks Pond without first going for a hike along the Spruceton Trail; a short visit to Rensselaerville Falls is always worthwhile. So many entertaining things to do in the Catskill Mountains, not enough time. If you need a spot to stay Rose Motel is a fine choice; why not head up to Windham Mountain and strap some skis to your feet.
 
               This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. Here at Hicks Pond you can distinguish North Hill; a lake close by is Fawn Lake. Summertime at Hicks Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are frequently in the 20's; overnight lows through the wintertime for Hicks Pond tend to be in the 10's. The Catskill Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
A day on the slopes of Hunter Mountain is just what you need, and soar down the rapids of Catskill Creek in a kayak.
