Don't forget to take a fine little tour to Beards Creek, and camping is available at Ridge Campsite. Swain is a very popular ski area in close proximity, and camping at Letchworth State Park is always a tremendous experience. From a rainfall point of view Hemp Pond is a quite common place; the wettest month of the year is regularly June, that's the one that rains the most, and the       driest month is February. During the warm months here at Hemp Pond, high temperatures frequently reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's; all through the dark hours in the winter at Hemp Pond temperatures plunge to the 10's. Now, you may feel that's a heap but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Hemp Pond. There are some perfect whitewater spots on Oatka Creek. This lake is so                  wonderful. The top of Dewey Hill is easily made out from Hemp Pond, and after a long day outdoors Country Inn And Suites By Carlson Mount Morris is a great location to spend a night or two.
