    Why not stop by Lake Heloise if you're passing through these parts. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Catskill Mountains. Olympia Hotel is a good place to get some rest; you can hit the slopes at Hunter Mountain nearby. And if you're still looking for more outdoors enjoyable stuff just keep reading. Ten Mile Creek is a wonderful whitewater spot near Lake Heloise, and hiking along the Willow Trail is good fun. Lake Heloise gets a normal amount of annual  
   precipitation; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is February.
This lake is so wonderful. Have a perfect hiking adventure along the Phoenicia Trail; at Lake Heloise you can observe Ginseng Mountain. Camping at Doherty's Mountain Campground is always a nice experience; Windham Mountain has nice slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Thompson House is a great
 
               choice; if you came to camp White Birches is a pleasant spot to do that.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Catskill Mountains. You can run the rapids of Catskill Creek next to Lake Heloise, and nearby Barlow Notch is a good location to go.
All the outdoors exciting stuff in the Catskill Mountains will keep you coming back persistently. While you're here at Lake Heloise you can play some golf at Windham Country Club; do take a hike on the Spruceton Trail. High temperatures at Lake Heloise throughout the summertime months are in the 70's while nighttime lows are generally in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Lake Heloise dip into the 0's.
