Summer at Heintein Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's; the night is quite chillier of course, typically in the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's with temperatures at Heintein Pond dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. A great spot to camp here at Heintein Pond is Shippekonk Campground, and get your pulse rate up on the splendid whitewater of Neversink River.       This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are great; Snyder Pond is a lake that's near Heintein Pond, and Heintein Pond is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Tri-State RV Park is a nice local campground. What a site this is for outdoors people. The Peenpack Trail is a wonderful hiking trail near Heintein Pond, and there's whitewater on Clove Brook for all you adrenaline rush seekers. The high level of rainfall makes Heintein Pond a quite wet place; most of the rain                  falls during May, and February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the great skiing at Holiday Mountain, and if you need a location to stay Hotel Fauchere is a fine choice. Clove Brook is one of the streams nearby that might be worth visiting, and not far from Heintein Pond you'll discover Martin Lake which is a pretty lake. Near Heintein Pond you locate the Lost Cabin Trail which is a glorious hiking trail, and a fine site is Delaware River Gorge.
