From a rain point of view Hedges Lake is a pretty normal spot; the month with most of the rain is August while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Willard Mountain has pleasant slopes and a friendly staff, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Hedges Lake; Bald Mountain Trail is a tremendous       local trail. For the period of the summertime highs here at Hedges Lake get into the 80's, and the nighttime is a bit chillier of course, usually in the 50's. Highs through the winter are typically in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Hedges Lake are in the 0's. If you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Battenkill River, and Clark Pond is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. Why not take a refreshing                  hike along the West Ridge Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Hedges Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Battenkill Sportsquarters Camping is a brilliant place for that, and Hampton Inn Bennington is a tremendous place to get some rest. All the outdoors amusing stuff in the vicinity of Hedges Lake will keep you coming back over and over. The peak of Mount Colfax can be made out from Hedges Lake, and Batten Kill River is a great whitewater spot close by. Flaxmill Brook is in the vicinity of Hedges Lake and is always a bliss to stop by, and dry warm beds await you at Alexandra B and B.
