It's always fun to stop by Hedges Lake. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a nice time here at Hedges Lake. The top of Mount Colfax is easily seen from Hedges Lake, and this is a popular place for folks from Bennington. Hedges Lake gets a typical amount of yearly precipitation; August is the wettest month with most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. West Mountain is a very popular ski area nearby, and Battenkill Sportsquarters Camping is a nice campground here. This is a tremendous region for people who like lakes. Clark Pond is a lake close at hand, and Willard Mountain has great slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Hedges Lake; Healing Springs Nature Trail is a fine local trail; if you came for an overnight
stay Lake Lauderdale Campgrounds is a perfect spot to camp. Hedges Lake is right by the West Ridge Trail. The Bald Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend
Batten Kill River.
Through the days of summer highs here at Hedges Lake get into the 80's with night lows in the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's; night lows at Hedges Lake during the winter regularly descend into the 0's.
