Go for a hike on the Van Hoevenberg Trail, and the skiing at Whiteface Mountain is great. You can run the rapids of Ausable River - West Branch near Heart Lake, and Marcy Dam is a spot that is near Heart Lake. During the warmest time of the year, highs usually are in the 70's at Heart Lake; the overnight is a tad colder of course, usually in the 50's. Throughout       the wintertime highs are regularly in the 20's with temperatures at Heart Lake dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights. Yep, outdoors entertaining things truly is abundant here in the Adirondack Mountains. Going for a hike on the Indian Pass Trail is always a splendid adventure, and a tremendous nearby hotel is Econo Lodge Lake Placid. Good hiking is available along the Hopkins Trail. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Heart Lake                  has to offer, you can camp at Whispering Pines Campground. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. There's whitewater on Ausable River - West Branch for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and Lake Colden is a nearby lake that you could stop at. Man, is there a load of entertaining things to do next to Heart Lake. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Mount Pisgah. This lake is so wonderful. Playing golf is lots of fun at Craig Wood Golf & Country Club. There's so much to do here at Heart Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Adirondak Loj is a tremendous location for that. While you're here at Heart Lake, you could also stop by striking Avalanche Lake, and if you need a place to stay Courtyard Lake Placid is a splendid choice. Heart Lake gets a typical amount of yearly precipitation; August is the wettest month with most rain, and February is when it's the driest. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Adirondack Mountains. Visit Indian Pass Brook if you're here at Heart Lake, and Mount Jo is beautiful and can be made out from here.
