You'll need more than a day to discover everything Heart Lake has to offer, you can camp at Adirondak Loj, and why not head up to Mount Pisgah and strap some skis to your feet. If you need a spot to stay Courtyard Lake Placid is a good choice. This lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack Mountains. But wait, there's more to do near Heart Lake. Heart Lake is in close       proximity to Marcy Dam which is a beautiful site undeniably worth taking a look at, and you can stay the night at Whispering Pines Campground. Through the long summer days at Heart Lake highs are mostly in the 70's; the night is a tad chillier of course, mostly in the 50's. Through the wintertime highs are mostly in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Heart Lake are in the 0's. So much entertaining stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains, not enough time.                  Dry warm beds await you at Adirondack Loj, and whitewater paddling is nice on Ausable River - West Branch. This lake is so wonderful. Golf can be played at Craig Wood Golf & Country Club, and the Van Hoevenberg Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Heart Lake; Indian Pass Trail is a good local trail, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Whiteface Mountain. Heart Lake gets a common amount of yearly rain; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is February. Heart Lake is right by the Hopkins Trail, and Ausable River - West Branch has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot close by. This place, the Adirondack Mountains, has so much outdoors cool stuff.
