If you like lakes and you're in this part of New York you can check out Heart Lake. Having a tremendous time in the Adirondack Mountains is trouble-free. Marcy Dam is a striking place in the vicinity of Heart Lake; don't leave Heart Lake without first going for a hike along the Indian Pass Trail. A quick journey to Indian Pass Brook near Heart Lake is a good idea, and if you need a location to stay Courtyard Lake Placid is a tremendous choice. But wait, there's

| | more amusing stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Lakes are glorious; Calamity Pond is a lake that's in close proximity to Heart Lake. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Heart Lake has to offer, you can camp at Adirondak Loj.

is the month that gets the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Heart Lake is located in the Adirondack Mountains.
What a place this is for outdoors folks. In the event that you don't mind getting wet,
you can always go whitewater paddling on Ausable River - West Branch, and Heart Lake is a good spot to visit for more than one day, Whispering Pines Campground is a good spot to camp nearby. Econo Lodge Lake Placid is a glorious place
to get some rest; the Hopkins Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. Golf can be played at Craig Wood Golf & Country Club, and the top of Mount Jo is easily spotted from Heart Lake.
During the summertime at
Heart Lake highs are commonly in the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Heart Lake. There's great
hiking along the Van Hoevenberg Trail; there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Mount Pisgah. Heart Lake really is in the middle of a scenic outdoors paradise.
