You just should go for the Adirondack Mountains. Buckhorn Mountain is a peak you can catch a glimpse of from Hayes Flow; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Gore Mountain is relatively near. This lake is so wonderful. There are some fine whitewater spots on Sacandaga River - Middle Branch, and you can stay the night at Ranch Side Park. This lake is so wonderful. South Pond is a nearby lake that       you could have a look at; Hayes Flow is a delightful spot to visit for more than one day, Rainbows End is a delightful spot to camp nearby.
