If you are in Warren county it's always a good idea to stop by Harrisburg Lake. What a site this is for outdoors people. The snow is brilliant at Gore Mountain; a pleasant close by hotel is Lake George/Warrensburg Super 8 Motel. If you came for an overnight stay Sacandaga Campground is a good place to camp; there's some flowing water close by, Halfway Brook is a stream you can take a look at during your stay. a glorious lake close by. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. From a precipitation point of view Harrisburg Lake is a pretty common place; the month with most of the rain is August, and February is the month
with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. On a glorious day at Harrisburg Lake you can take a hike along the Oregon Trail, and there are some brilliant whitewater spots on East Stony Creek. Northhampton Beach Recreation is a perfect local campground; a beautiful lake like Saint John Lake is a great site to stop at.

It is owned by Suny College Of Environmental Science and Forestry. There are no motors allowed on the lake. No fires and no overnight camping allowed. Dogs must be on a leash.
