What a site this is for outdoors people. The snow is brilliant at Gore Mountain; a pleasant close by hotel is Lake George/Warrensburg Super 8 Motel. If you came for an overnight stay Sacandaga Campground is a good place to camp; there's some flowing water close by, Halfway Brook is a stream you can take a look at during your stay. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the       70's to Harrisburg Lake. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Harrisburg Lake. All year is a pleasant time in the Adirondack Mountains if you go for the outdoors. So many exciting things to do here in the Adirondack Mountains, too great to be true. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Georgia Brook, and Bullhead Pond is                  a glorious lake close by. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. From a precipitation point of view Harrisburg Lake is a pretty common place; the month with most of the rain is August, and February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. On a glorious day at Harrisburg Lake you can take a hike along the Oregon Trail, and there are some brilliant whitewater spots on East Stony Creek.
