What a nice lake Harmony Lake is. Good hiking is available along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. Lakes are nice; Ballard Pond is a lake that's close to Harmony Lake. Float down the rapids of Tenmile in a kayak; Pawling Mountain is beautiful and can be observed from here. This lake is so wonderful. There's tremendous hiking along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Dutchess Motor Lodge.

There's so much to do here at Harmony Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Clarence Fahnestock State Park is a good place for that; get yourself into a kayak and hit Ten Mile River. The annual precipitation here at Harmony Lake is about average; most of the rain falls all through May, and February is the month with the least moisture. Harmony
Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Sylvan Lake Beach Park is a fine local campground; golf can be played at Dutcher Golf Course. During the summer at Harmony Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's. Summer overnight
lows descend down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Harmony Lake temperatures sink to the 10's.
