Try Lily Brook, and after a long day outdoors Washington Lake Retreat is a tremendous place to spend a night or two. The high level of rainfall makes Halfmoon Lake a relatively wet spot; most of the rain falls through August, and February on the other hand is the driest. That right there is a lot already, but it keeps on going; Halfmoon Lake has it all. Throughout the days of summer at Halfmoon       Lake highs are frequently in the 70's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's; during the dark hours in the winter at Halfmoon Lake temperatures descend to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Halfmoon Lake you can take a hike along the Steam Mill Trail, and a golf course nearby is Island Glen Country Club. Going for a hike along the Schiff Trail will let you absorb                  the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and a good swamp in the neighborhood of Halfmoon Lake is Big Brady Swamp. If you came for an overnight stay Woodstock On The Lake Campgrounds is a great place to camp, and the slopes of Holiday Mountain are so inviting nobody can resist. Delaware National Scenic River is a magnificent place near Halfmoon Lake; if you need a site to stay Eldred Preserve Resort is a pleasant choice. And that's not all you can do here at Halfmoon Lake. If the weather is tremendous here at Halfmoon Lake, you can go for a hike along the Crawford Trail, and what would winter be without some skiing at Tanglwood. Lander's River Trips is a perfect campground here, and get soaked paddling on Delaware River. This lake is so wonderful.
