Horse Chock Brook flows through this area, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we       recommend Popolopen Creek. Sterling Forest has fine slopes and a friendly staff; get your heart pumping on the magnificent whitewater of Ramapo River. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Why not camp at National Camp Assn if you're here at Gurnee Lake, and a golf course nearby is Minisceongo Golf Club. For the duration of the warm days of summer, highs mostly are in the 80's at Gurnee Lake, and the nighttime is a little chillier of course, regularly                  in the 60's. Highs during the wintertime are regularly in the 30's while Gurnee Lake nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Gurnee Lake; Woodtown Trail is a fine local trail, and a lake nearby is Garnerville Reservoir. Hit the slopes at Mt.
