Really brilliant skiing awaits you at McCauley Mountain, and get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Moose River.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Stone Dam Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Moose River - Middle Branch. Gull Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; throughout August this area sees the most rain; the driest of the months is February.
But wait, there's more amusing things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Gull Lake has to offer, you can camp at Cold Brook Campsites, and Bare Mountain is a peak you can observe from Gull Lake.
