If you are in Greene county it's always a good idea to stop by Grill Lake. Through the summer at Grill Lake temperatures are commonly in the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at Grill Lake temperatures descend to the 0's. Allen Brook is a great local stream, and for you golfers we recommend close by Colonial Country Club. Grill Lake really is in the middle of a pretty outdoors

| | paradise. If you come at the right time of year, Plattekill Creek offers some great whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Grill Lake has to offer, you can camp at Rip Van winkle Campgrounds, and a great nearby hotel is Hotel Mountain Brook. After a long day outdoors Hotel Vienna is a good place to spend a night or two, and brilliant hiking is available along the Phoenicia Trail. So much amusing stuff in | |

the Catskill Mountains, just inspiring. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Windham Mountain is in the vicinity of Grill Lake; get yourself into a kayak and hit Saw Kill River. What a place this is for outdoors people. The snow
is wonderful at Hunter Mountain; don't leave Grill Lake without first going for a hike along the Willow Trail. Grill Lake is located in the Catskill Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood
you can always check out nearby Onteora Pond, and you can see Clum Hill from Grill Lake. A common amount of precipitation falls here at Grill Lake; through May this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is February.
Go for a hike on the Spruceton Trail, and at Grill Lake you always meet someone from Kingston. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Catskill Mountains. Stay the night at Doherty's Mountain Campground, and needless
to say, this is a great neighborhood for people who like lakes, Lake Rip Van Winkle is a lake in close proximity.
