But wait, there's more enjoyable things to do in the Catskill Mountains. A lake nearby is Leach Lake, and if you need a location to stay Hotel Mountain Brook is a splendid choice. Near Grill Lake you find the Willow Trail which is a great hiking trail, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Hunter Mountain. Be careful coming to Grill Lake, you might not ever wanna return back home again. The       Spruceton Trail is a great hiking trail right next door to Grill Lake, and there are some magnificent whitewater spots on Saw Kill River. This lake is so wonderful. Head up to Windham Mountain and strap some skis to your feet, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Plattekill Creek. If you want a tremendous time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Grill Lake. Grill Lake is a location with many visitors                  from Kingston. For the period of the days of summer at Grill Lake highs are mostly in the 70's while night lows are typically in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Grill Lake. Going for a hike on the Phoenicia Trail is always a wonderful adventure, needless to say you could also pop by Lake Rip Van Winkle while you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. Clum Hill is clearly visible from Grill Lake, and camping is available at Doherty's Mountain Campground. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Catskill Mountains. If you came for an overnight stay Rip Van winkle Campgrounds is a pleasant location to camp, and a good close by hotel is Hotel Vienna. This lake is located in the wonderful Catskill Mountains. Grill Lake gets a common amount of precipitation; May is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February.
