     The summit of Grimes Hill can be seen from Green Pond, and after a long day outdoors Manchester View Fine Lodging is a splendid place to spend a night or two. In case you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Mettawee River, and there are plenty of folks from Bennington here at Green Pond. This lake is so wonderful. On a wonderful day at Green Pond you can take a hike along the Glen Lake Trail, and why not camp  
   at Dorset RV Park while you're here at Green Pond. Green Pond beyond doubt is in the middle of a striking outdoors paradise. The slopes of Willard Mountain are so inviting noone can resist, and a lake close by is Smith Pond.
The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Green Pond. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's while Green Pond nighttime low temperatures
 
               during the wintertime are in the 0's. Green Pond is a good location of normal rainfall; most of the rain falls all through August while February is generally the driest month. While you're here at Green Pond you can take a hike along the Bomoseen Hiking Loop, and Battenkill River has a delightful whitewater paddling spot nearby.
This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Camp Catherine Capers; Green Pond is not the only location close by, Rathbun Pond is a close by lake. There is a great hiking trail right next door to Green Pond called the Healing Springs Nature Trail, and Arcady At The Sunderland Lodge is a pleasant site to get some rest.
