There's so much to do here at Green Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Camp wabenaki is a tremendous site for that, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out close by Lake Stahahe. Green Pond is a good place of normal rain; the month with most of the rain is May, and the driest month of the year is February. Going for a hike on the Torne Mount Ivy Trail is       always a pleasant adventure, and if you came to camp Robert Moses is a brilliant place to do that. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Mt. Peter. That right there is plenty already, but it keeps on going; Green Pond has it all. Sterling Forest is a tremendous local ski area, and Holiday Inn Suffern, Ny is a wonderful site to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Near Green Pond you hit upon the Ramapo-Dunderberg Trail which is a great hiking trail, and a golf                  course close by is The Golf Club at Mansion Ridge. If you come at the right time of year, Ramapo River offers some splendid whitewater, and if you want to hit the beach, Old Sebago Beach is around here. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Pine Meadow Trail, and you should undeniably pop by beautiful New Sebago Beach while you're here. This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. After a long day outdoors Howard Johnson Inn is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two; Echo Mountain is pretty and can be spotted from here. If you like swamps, you're in luck, Surebridge Swamp is right nearby; let's not forget Arden Brook which is a stream that you may come across while you're here. Summer at Green Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Green Pond.
