Many people like to go to Green Pond. Hiking along the Salmon Lake Trail is nice fun, and if you get bored of Green Pond you could also go to close by Moshier Reservoir. Green Pond really is in the middle of a charming outdoors paradise. Camping is available at Singing waters Campground, and Sunday Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit. Green Pond is a wet location that gets a lot of rainfall; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain,

| | and the driest of the months is February. A day on the slopes of Snow Ridge is just what you need. It's a great idea to stop at Moshier Creek, it's near Green Pond, and going for a hike along the Post Henderson Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. This lake is so wonderful. the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's; night lows in the 0's for Green Pond. If you came for an overnight stay Nicks Lake Campgrounds is a splendid
place to camp; in the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Beaver River.

Chub Pond
 | 17 miles away I love hiking back to this pond! It is absolutely beautiful! The trail was a little muddy from atv's, but the trek is worth it. the loons were incredible to watch, and once i saw the arora borealis there too!... |
Terror Lake
 | 19 miles away ...h century before stillwater. The Carthage road went up the Beaver river drainage. Two brothers got lost up in the ridges above Terror Lake. Almost died. They found the lake and named it after their nights of terror. Guys used to hunt there in the fly in days. The last last guy to go there was a drainage ditch runner. Calls himself PH. Take his advice. It's a long way in and you MUST know the woods and be a woodsman. There are plenty of blow downs to go through overland. The way to go is via the end of Twitchell Lk. The Sisters who own the old Teahouse at the end of Twitchell are nice old girls. I saved their nephew one cold November night. They bought me some good whiskey. Anyway that's the way to get into Terror Lk. Follow the old trail into the South Branch Beaver River drainage. Head northeast for a good mile and keep the high ground to your right shoulder. Keep walking about 4 miles and make sure the big ridge is over your right shoulder. You can't miss the lake. There is an old ghost trail marked with blue soap can lids at the base of the ridge.
