If you like the outdoors you'll like it here in the Adirondack Mountains. A splendid nearby hotel is Lake View Hotel and Conference Center, and playing golf is lots of fun at Bend of the River Golf Club. If only every site had this much outdoors cool things, what a great earth it would be. Near Great Sacandaga Lake you stumble on the Oregon Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail, and       you're probably keen on lakes, Bell Brook Pond is one of those close by. Summertime highs at Great Sacandaga Lake usually tend to be in the 70's while nighttime lows are mostly in the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Great Sacandaga Lake. This is a delightful vicinity for folks who like lakes. Efner Lake is a lake nearby, and Dillon Mountain is a peak you can catch a                  glimpse of from Great Sacandaga Lake. This site, the Adirondack Mountains, has so much outdoors cool stuff. Very delightful water scenery is available at Conklingville Dam right next door to Great Sacandaga Lake, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Stony Creek. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. There's so much to do here at Great Sacandaga Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Stewarts' Pond Campsites is a good place for that; there are some good whitewater spots on Sacandaga River. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at Gore Mountain around here, and if you need a site to stay Lake George/Warrensburg Super 8 Motel is a tremendous choice. The high level of rain makes Great Sacandaga Lake a reasonably wet place; the wettest month of the year is generally September, that's the one that rains the most, and February on the other hand is the driest. West Mountain is a very popular ski area around here. This lake is so wonderful.
