This lake is so wonderful. West Mountain is a very popular ski area close by, and there are some delightful whitewater spots on Stony Creek. There are other spots here than Great Sacandaga Lake, for example Hunt Lake; you can take a little tour to Conklingville Dam if you're here at Great Sacandaga Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Lake View Hotel and Conference Center, and from Great Sacandaga       Lake you acquire a tremendous vista of Dillon Mountain. But wait, there's more cool stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. If you come at the right time of year, Sacandaga River offers some tremendous whitewater, and camping at Stewarts' Pond Campsites is always a perfect experience. This place, Great Sacandaga Lake, it simply has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. Near Great Sacandaga Lake you come across a golf course called Bend of the River Golf Club,                  and Lake George/Warrensburg Super 8 Motel is a great spot to get some rest.
