This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Sixmile Creek Trail, and if you came to camp Robinson's Iga is a delightful site to do that. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Adirondack Mountains. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Oswegatchie River - East Branch. During the days of summer highs here at Grass Pond get into the 70's. All through the       dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Grass Pond fall into the 0's. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing things near Grass Pond. Going for a hike on the Ash Pond Trail is always a great adventure, and the slopes of McCauley Mountain are so inviting noone can resist. Good hiking is available along the Big Deer Pond Trail,                  and Grass Pond is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Browns Tract Pond State Campground is a wonderful local campground. So many amusing things to do in the Adirondack Mountains, not enough time. After a long day outdoors Stone Manor is a pleasant place to spend a night or two, and at Grass Pond you can make out Grass Pond Mountain. Dry warm beds await you at Mountain Gate Motel, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out close by Ash Pond. Grass Pond sees pretty high levels of rain; throughout August this area sees the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
