While you're here at Grass Pond you can take a hike along the Ash Pond Trail, and McCauley Mountain has wonderful slopes and a friendly staff. The Big Deer Pond Trail is a great hiking trail near Grass Pond, and get soaked paddling on Oswegatchie River - East Branch. That right there is a lot of exciting things already but it goes on, the Adirondack Mountains has it all. Grass Pond Mountain is a peak you can catch a glimpse of from       Grass Pond, naturally you could also stop by Colvin Pond if you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is tremendous here at Grass Pond, you can go for a hike along the Sixmile Creek Trail, and camping is available at Robinson's Iga. During the summertime months, highs frequently are in the 70's at Grass Pond while nighttime lows are frequently in the 50's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's                  with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Grass Pond. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. If you came for an overnight stay Browns Tract Pond State Campground is a great place to camp. Grass Pond is a wet site that gets much precipitation; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is February.
