This lake is so wonderful. The Silver Lake Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best. Salmon River has a perfect whitewater paddling spot nearby, and THE HOTEL SARANAC is a great place to get some rest. But wait, there's more cool things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. You can never get enough of the nice skiing at Mount Pisgah, and whitewater paddling is magnificent on Saranac River - North Branch.       Having a great time at Grass Pond is easy. Really great skiing awaits you at Titus Mountain, and glorious hiking is available along the McKenzie Pond Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There's splendid hiking along the Schwartz Trail; dry warm beds await you at Hotel Saranac. Throughout the months of summer here at Grass Pond, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 70's while overnight lows are usually in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 20's while                  the cold winter nights at Grass Pond are in the 0's. There's so much to do here at Grass Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Donaldson George A and Sons is a good spot for that, and Grass Pond is not the only place nearby, Drew Pond is a nearby lake. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Having a great time in the Adirondack Mountains is easy. Grass Pond is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Pioneer Village is a pleasant local campground, and if you're visiting from Malone, you won't be the only one.
