This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. So many exciting things in the Adirondack Mountains, just mind-boggling. Get dripping wet paddling on Saranac River - North Branch; Grass Pond is a brilliant site to camp, Pioneer Village is a brilliant site. This lake is so wonderful. At Grass Pond you always meet someone from Malone. If only every place had this much outdoors amusing stuff, what       a great globe it would be. Paddling on Ausable River - West Branch is so much fun, and you can have a splendid hiking adventure along the McKenzie Pond Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things in the Adirondack Mountains. If you need a place to stay Swiss Acres Inn is a good choice; why not head up to Mount Pisgah and strap some skis to your feet. Summertime highs at Grass Pond ordinarily tend to be in the 70's; through summer nights temperatures are                  in the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Grass Pond temperatures dip to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at The Whiteface Lodge; the snow is perfect at Whiteface Mountain. Grass Pond sees pretty high levels of rain; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. On a delightful day at Grass Pond you can take a hike along the Indian Pass Trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Grass Pond has to offer, you can camp at Adirondak Loj.
