Granite Lake is always a pleasure to visit. American Campgrounds Of Saratoga is a brilliant campground nearby; if you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by Albany-Schenectady-Troy. Granite Lake is a rather wet place usually with much rainfall; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Get drenched paddling on Hudson River; an afternoon
playing golf at Brookhaven Golf Club is always a bliss.
This lake is so wonderful. For the period of the warm days of summer, highs frequently are in the 70's at Granite Lake. Throughout the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's with temperatures at Granite Lake dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights. The slopes of West Mountain are so inviting noone can resist, and Hickory Ski Center is a

               splendid local ski area.
And that's not all you can do here at Granite Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Courtyard By Marriott Saratoga Springs; float down the rapids of Sacandaga River in a kayak. If you came for an overnight stay Adirondack Adventure Resorts is a great location to camp, and the vista of Devils Den is delightful. The Saratoga Hotel and Conference Center is a splendid spot to get some rest, and naturally Bell Brook is a picturesque stream that is worth going to.
