Get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Callicoon Creek - North Branch, and if the weather is gorgeous, you acquire a fine sight of Big Fork Mountain from Gould Pond. If you need a place to stay East Branch Motel is a brilliant choice, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Mount Tone is quite near. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Schiff       Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. The high level of precipitation makes Gould Pond a rather wet site; during the month of May you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. A great nearby hotel is Campbell Inn, and a nice site is Handsome Hollow. Gould Pond is a wonderful place to camp, Beaver-del Campsites is a wonderful place, and swamps are exciting spots and Elm                  Swamp next to Gould Pond is no exception. This lake is so wonderful. Delaware Lake is a tremendous lake near Gould Pond, and a good location for whitewater paddling is Callicoon Creek - East Branch. There's some flowing water close by, Knowles Brook is a stream you can go to while here, and camping at Gould Pond is brilliant fun, Red Barn Campgrounds is a brilliant local campground. Throughout the long summer days highs here at Gould Pond get into the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's.
