Goosepuddle Pond gets a normal amount of rain; the month with most of the rain is August; February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Rock Pond Trail, and if you came to camp Craig Harbor Canyon is a brilliant location to do that. So much entertaining stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains, not sufficient time. The top of Bald       Peak is easily spotted from Goosepuddle Pond. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. At Goosepuddle Pond during the summertime months highs are in the 70's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are usually in the 20's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Goosepuddle Pond descend into the 0's. You imagine that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Get yourself                  into a kayak and hit Putnam Creek; if you need a location to stay Family Fun Cabins & Motel is a delightful choice. There is a splendid hiking trail in the vicinity of Goosepuddle Pond called the Bear Pond Trail; Goosepuddle Pond is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Griffins Ten Acre Campground is a fine local campground. This spot, the Adirondack Mountains, has so much outdoors exciting stuff. Going for a hike on the Clear Pond Trail is always a good adventure, and there are some good whitewater spots on Mill Creek.
