Summer brings highs in the 70's to Goose Pond. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 20's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Goose Pond drop into the 0's. Gotta ski! Snow Ridge is a pleasant place to do that; you can go for a hike on the Stone Dam Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling       is great on Moose River, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Sunset Inn is a tremendous place to spend a night or two. There are other sites here than Goose Pond, for example Big Otter Lake, and why not camp at Moose River Camp Grounds if you're here at Goose Pond. Everybody close by loves skiing at McCauley Mountain, and delightful hiking is available along the Forty Mountain Trail. You simply should adore Goose Pond. Don't leave Goose Pond without                  first going for a hike along the Twin Lakes Trail, and a great place to camp here at Goose Pond is Singing waters Campground. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Moose River - Middle Branch, and there's some flowing water nearby, South Inlet is a stream you can check out while here.
