There are other locations here than Goose Pond, for example Alder Pond; glorious hiking is available along the Spectacle Pond Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things in the Adirondack Mountains. Swamps like Desolate Swamp in the neighborhood of Goose Pond make for nice spots to explore, and you can go for a hike on the Pharoah Mountain Trail.                  Kish Duna Motel Cottages is a splendid site to get some rest, and don't leave Goose Pond without first going for a hike along the Long Swing Trail. A tremendous site to camp here at Goose Pond is Medcalf Acres Campsite; a nice nearby hotel is Mountain Pines Motel. For the duration of the summertime here at Goose Pond, high temperatures usually reach the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs all through the wintertime are typically in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Goose Pond during the winter usually sink into the 0's. If you have a thing about the outdoors you'll have a thing about it here in the Adirondack Mountains.
