Near Goose Pond you hit upon the Pharoah Mountain Trail which is a nice hiking trail, and needless to say, this is a great area for folks who like lakes, Alder Pond is a lake nearby. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Adirondack       Mountains. Blue Hill is gorgeous and can be seen from Goose Pond; get yourself into a kayak and hit The Branch. This lake is so wonderful. Ticonderoga - Super 8 Motel is a brilliant location to get some rest, and camping is available at Echo Lake Southwoods. Through the long summer days highs here at Goose Pond reach the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are generally in the 20's with winter                  lows in the 0's overnight here at Goose Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Long Swing Trail is always a great adventure. Goose Pond is a beautiful lake in the Adirondack Mountains. Goose Pond gets a common amount of annual rainfall; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
