     New York has many beautiful lakes and Goodnow Flowage is one of them. This lake is so wonderful. West Branch Goodnow River is one of the streams nearby that might be worth stopping at; after a long day outdoors Adirondack Trail Motel is a good spot to spend a night or two. And that's not all the things you can do here in the Adirondack Mountains. Lone Birch Motel is a fine location to get some rest, and the vista of Sixth Lake Mountain is picturesque. So much  
   entertaining stuff in the Adirondack Mountains, just amazing. Head up to Gore Mountain and strap some skis to your feet, and the Indian Pass Trail is a delightful hiking trail close by.
Goodnow Flowage is a good spot of normal rainfall; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is February. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a good time here at Goodnow Flowage. Why not camp at Whispering woods since you're here
 
               at Goodnow Flowage; get covered with water paddling on Indian River. This is a tremendous region for people who like lakes. Bates Pond is a lake close by; if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Northville Lake Placid Trail.
Through the warm months here at Goodnow Flowage, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 70's while night lows are frequently in the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Goodnow Flowage temperatures dip to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Drift down the rapids of Cedar River in a kayak, and Fishing Rock is something you shouldn't miss while you're here.
