Whitewater paddling is great on Canisteo River, and camping at Cardinal Campsite is always a great experience. Through the summer months, highs commonly are in the 80's at Goodhue Lake. During the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are commonly in the 30's with temperatures at Goodhue Lake dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike       on the Roe Trail; a nice place to camp here at Goodhue Lake is Babcock Hollow Campground. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things at Goodhue Lake. Hiking along the Niles Trail is glorious fun, and Goodhue Lake is a spot with many visitors from Corning. You're possibly hooked on lakes, Cranberry Pond is one of those close by, and a good close by hotel is Holland American Country Inn. The annual precipitation here at Goodhue Lake                  is about average; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain, and January meanwhile is the driest month.
