Golden Pond is a wonderful spot to visit for more than one day, Battenkill Sportsquarters Camping is a wonderful spot to camp nearby, and hiking along the Healing Springs Nature Trail is splendid fun. Stay the night at Lake Lauderdale Campgrounds; a pretty lake like Echo Lake is a fine place to go to. Golden Pond gets a normal amount of rainfall; the month with most                  of the rain is May, and February on the other hand is the driest. Golden Pond is right by the Taconic Crest Trail, and get your pulse rate up on the good whitewater of Hoosic River. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Golden Pond, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are frequently in the 30's, and night lows in the 0's for Golden Pond. This lake is so wonderful.
